This year's World Oceans Day is particularly significant. 2025 is a crucial year for the oceans, a year of deadlines and milestones. Important international marine agreements and treaties have been concluded, which will hopefully be implemented this year. It is definitely time to remind ourselves again and again of the fragile state of our oceans – and that is what this special day is all about.

Photographing birds at just the right moment is no easy task. Lucky are those who can rely on "Pro Capture" technology. With it OM SYSTEM makes it easy to capture birds in their desired flight position. With our OM 1 MKII and Pro Capture mode, even a simple bird portrait can so be transformed into something extraordinary.

The oceans: they make up 70% of the Earth's surface, form 97% of our water reserves and harbour 80% of all organic matter on our planet. We must therefore work to restore a new balance with the oceans so that their abundance is no longer depleted, but instead gives them back their vitality and breathes new life into them.

The next step has been taken! From the OM-1 to the OM-1 MKII. As our demands on our photography grow, so do the demands on our camera. With the OM-1 MKII, OM SYSTEM gives us a new creative tool that meets our underwater needs 100%. While the underwater photography community is still discussing snoots, we are already creating new compositions with an unprecedented bouquet.

There is no doubt that, as well as skill, you need the right technology to take high quality pictures underwater. This combination makes the work for us much easier and more enjoyable. The OM-1 and the M.Zuiko ED 90mm f3.5 Macro IS Pro lens are definitely our new dream team and accompany us on all our diving trips. So, all you little critters, from now on there is no need to hide any more.

As OM SYSTEM ambassadors, we had a lot of fun putting the new TG-7 through its paces and testing this little powerhouse with its many great features. From jumping off the jetty in super slow motion to diving to 15 metres without an underwater housing, the TG-7 leaves nothing to be desired. The ideal camera for divers, snorkellers and all water enthusiasts.
